Movement for String Quartet [8']

Dating from Wallach’s student days, this Movement for String Quartet is one of her  oldest extant works, yet it already bears the hallmarks of Wallach more mature style in its fluidity and lyricism, its chromatic tonality, its idiomatic ensemble writing and emotional immediacy.
